Today I was in court for a finalization hearing. Finalization hearings are always special, they always bring tears to my eyes .... because it is the final step in making "forever families". Mom, Dad, baby and all the extended family show up to finalize the legal process.
I remember the feeling of finalizing my children's adoptions - there were feelings of fear, excitement, and anticipation all rolled together....
What questions will the judge ask? Will the kids behave during the hearing? Will I say the right things.... RELIEF.....its done. GOTCHA DAY !
